Roundwood Primary School Buckinghamshire Opened October 2007

MP John Bercow officially opened Roundwood Primary School in Buckingham on the 6th October 2007 at an event held on its school sites in Tingewick and Gawcott, Buckinghamshire.

Although the infant and junior schools merged at the start of the new term, staff decided to mark the opening with an official ceremony at both village sites. The event was attended by parents, local residents, members of the local councils and members of teaching and support staff.

The Headteacher Carole Chandler said: "Having the two schools merged into one gives the children better continuity of education between the ages of seven and 11 years old."
"It means they can continue their education in the village environment rather than having to travel to Buckingham. "
