Company History
Kingdom Academy’s origins date back to January 2009, when the organisation was established as Dutton Fisher Associates. It initially focused on organisational leadership and people development before becoming a leading provider of training and apprenticeships for the social housing sector. Over time, it developed an extensive portfolio of accredited qualifications and became a recognised study centre for organisations including the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
In 2017, the organisation began delivering apprenticeships with approval from the Education and Skills Funding Agency. It subsequently expanded its specialist training provision, including the development of the Housing Passport qualification, which was launched in 2022.
A significant milestone came in 2023, when Kingdom Services Group acquired Dutton Fisher Associates. From 31 January 2023, Dutton Fisher Associates and Kingdom Training were rebranded as Kingdom Academy and became part of the Kingdom Group.
In 2024, Kingdom Academy acquired Competence Matters, extending its portfolio into construction qualifications and apprenticeships. The Academy continues to develop its training provision across housing, construction, leadership and management in response to changing industry requirements.
The company remains an active private limited company, with Companies House recording its incorporation date as 12 January 2009 and its registered office in Newton-le-Willows.
