The Course Communication Network is a proprietary web-based Virtual Learning Environment provided and developed by Zumo Software Inc. Unveiled in September 2000 CCNet provieds e-learning course management and class communication tools for students, teachers and administrative clients. CCNet users have included the University of Toronto and Stanford University. Zumo offer a free, ad-supported version and other advertisement free solutions that feature additional costs per course.
CCNet features include: handouts, bulletin board, calendar, announcements, context-sensitive help, section management, surveys, online testing, drop-off boxes, grading, portal, administrative interface and backup retrieval.
